Recently I ran across this amazing product called the Sand Cloud towel. I was instantly smitten since I'm such a huge lover of the beach and the ocean and traveling. This simply brilliant product is the invention of three young men in San Diego who also love the beach and ocean and wanted to share a more comfortable experience on the beach.
This light weight turkish cotton "towel" is absorbent and dries quickly and actually repels the sand unlike a terry cloth towel that attracts the sand. There is a ingenious pillow tucked into the top that is removable.
On doing my review of the Sand Cloud, I found I will be using this product for much more than laying on the beach.
On a recent flight to Alaska, on impulse, I tucked the lightweight Sand Cloud into my travel bag, hoping to get some photos of it in Alaska. We all know how uncomfortable it is to fly. I ended up pulling the Sand Cloud out of my travel bag and wrapping it around my shoulders and tucking the pillow behind my head and I took the most delightful and comfortable nap I've had on a airplane ever.
Just last week I took my Sand Cloud to Lake Powell with us. On our annual boat trip. We camp on the beach and we have to pack everything we will be needing for the week in the boat. So traveling light is important. The Sand Cloud tucked into my travel backpack easily. I used it on the beach at our campsite and I used it on the boat for napping and drying off.
Sand Clouds come in four stripped colors, Island Green, lavender, Ocean Blue and Sunset Orange.
