Mosaic Monday!

Its time for me to gather my supplies for forcing
my paper white narcissus for the winter.
I plant one vase or pot every week for
continuos blooms durning the holiday season and beyond into the new year!
If you are planning on some Paper whites this year, its time!
Paper white narcissus will bloom 5 to 6 weeks after you start them.
I have been growing Paper whites at the holidays for years.
I threw my Amaryllis in the mosaic too.
I started one for the first time.

Narcissus are foolproof...
1) Add rock
2) Add bulbs
3) Add water
4) Stand back (They grow fast)

Here are some display ideas:

Start em soon!

Thanks for Visiting

  1. What? That is amazing. I didn't know you could even do such a thing. Do you leave them inside? I'm going to go reread the post. Beautifully done!

  2. Hello Rainey, thanks for stopping by. I have done Paper whites. I put cranberries around my Paper Whites one year. The cranberries didn't last too long but they were beautiful for about a week. I love your header. Come again.

  8. I just bought three packages of bulbs and was waiting to try to figure out how to plant them. In rocks and no soil??? I'm trying that with the first package today. Yours are so lovely and I especially think the moss covered amaryllis bulb is gorgeous!

  10. Every year I swear I'm going to plant these and I don't. I think I'll get some closer to Christmas and have them bloom after the holidays when things are really ugly and depressing around here. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for the information and the reminder. A neighbor gave me some paper white bulbs last year and I totally forgot about them. Perhaps I'll make planting them a project this week. Thanks for visiting my mosaics at Small Reflections.
