Personalized Pop Art for Three Bucks!

Imagine Personalized Pop Art!

I got this Scrabble game for a dollar and the frame for two dollars!

I took the back off the frame and cleaned the glass really well.

Played with the letters till I got it the way I liked it.

It was fun!
Now I glued the letters to the board and glued the board to the back of the frame making sure there was a gap for the raised letters. (Like a very thin shadow box.)

Voila!
I think it took me a half hour to do and it really looks great on my wall with my family photos!

Magnetic bracelet

I first saw this project over at the Victorian Rabbit and knew I had to make one. My hands and wrists are painful sometimes from many years of throwing pottery on a wheel. Here are how mine came out. I bought the magnetic beads (Hematite) at Walmart for about $3.00 for 34 beads. And I made three bracelets with 2 packages and I have some left over.
I'll let you know if the magnets work to relieve the pain.

The first one is a double
Here it is all lined up on my bracelet board ready to be strung.

Doing a double does take patience because the Hematite beads like to join each other.
I just took it slow and it was done in about a half hour.
I LOVE this one and I have been wearing it all day.
You can't see it in the photo but there are Swarovski crystals in
the middle of the silver beads and they are super gorgeous!

I made the emerald green one for myself and I made the
pretty blue glass beads for my Mother in Law who is 82 and amazing for her age!

I hope you enjoyed the project!
Thank you Lorrie @ The Victorian Rabbit for this great idea!

Peppy Party Pasta Salad

I made this for my daughters Baby shower! There was only one serving left after the shower and my daughter took a To-Go bowl home with her. Its a pretty good summer salad... It could be a meal on a hot summer day! And its oh so much better the next day. I always make it a day ahead.

Peppy Party Pasta Salad
1 package of Dried Tortellini (cooked according to package and cooled)
1 package of mini Pepperoni or regular pepperoni cut into strips
1 handful of green onions
1 can olives
1 carton of grape tomatoes
1 jar artichoke hearts rinsed well
1 package mini mozzarella balls or 1 package cubed
1 handful flat leaf parsley chopped
1 bottle Wishbone Balsamic Vinaigrette

Mix all ingredients together and chill for at least an hour... Better if chilled longer or made the day before.

Strawberry/Cream cheese stuffed French Toast

The title say's it all!
Here's how I make it.
No recipe needed
just follow my tutorial.

Beat your eggs, vanilla. roasted cinnamon and a little milk and slice some Italian bread.

Spread on some softened cream cheese and a teaspoon of strawberry jam.

Put on another slice of bread, like your making a sandwich.

Then soak each side of your "sandwich" with your egg mixture.

Then toast them in butter. Did she say butter! Yes, I said butter!

Only thing left to say is YUM!

Enjoy your breakfast and don't forget to go to the gym today!

Did you go to the gym yet?
